To help out other developers- I will share a few free Promotional opportunities I have found:

appgiveaway.com — submit some promo codes and they will host a give away

iphoneappreview.com — submit a self written article on your app

appolicious.com — sign up to be a community reviewer and review your own app along with others.

iPhoneLife.com — you can submit your press release and promo codes for a hosted give away.

PRMac.com — Press release submission

AppSting.com — set up a free community profile, get featured on their home page in the ‘new apps’ section automatically for free.

Also, set up an alert for your app with google alerts and you will be notified when a new site links to your app!
